Orange, lemon, mandarin and saffron: here Sicily does not stay in the background. It goes straight into the dough.
The naturally leavened panettone is built around Sicilian citrus. Candied orange and lemon peel meet Sicilian mandarin paste and the delicate aroma of local saffron, giving the cake a bright but layered character.
The Dolce & Gabbana tin adds another Sicilian language: colour, decoration and a keepsake quality that lasts beyond the holidays.

A brighter side of Sicily
This is one of the versions that best expresses the island’s sunny character. Citrus brings freshness, saffron adds depth and the dough keeps the balance without turning the panettone into a simple “lemon” or “orange” cake.

Wheat flour, candied Sicilian citrus peel 20% (glucose-fructose syrup, lemon peel 26%, orange peel 22%, sugar), butter, sugar, fresh eggs 10%, fresh egg yolk 6.5%, natural starter (wheat flour), Sicilian mandarin paste 2.2% (mandarins 52%, sugar, glucose syrup, lemon juice), Sicilian honey, invert sugar syrup, emulsifiers: mono- and diglycerides of fatty acids; cocoa butter, skimmed milk powder, salt, Sicilian saffron, vanilla, natural saffron flavour.
