Sicily is not a category in our catalog. It is the criterion we use to build it.

Sicilus selects specialties made in Sicily by Sicilian producers, with attention to quality, place of origin and the ability to tell the story of the island through authentic products.

Our selection rule

• Sicilian producers: we prioritize companies, workshops and producers rooted in Sicily.
• Made in Sicily: to be part of the Sicilus Selection, a product must be made on the island.
• Quality before quantity: being Sicilian is not enough on its own; every product must meet our standards of quality and consistency.
• Declared provenance: whenever possible, we identify the producer and place of origin to make our selection transparent.

Sicilus Special Collections

On rare occasions, we feature products that are not made in Sicily when their connection to the island's culture is authentic, central to the project and documented. These products are clearly identified as Sicilus Special Collections and are never presented as made in Sicily.

Sicilus Gift Boxes

Boxes and assortments made up of several specialties that comply with our rule may be identified as a Sicilus Gift Box. The wording “Selected and packed in Sicily” describes the selection and packing of the box: it does not mean that Sicilus produced the individual foods, which remain made by their respective producers.

What the Sicilus Rule covers

The Rule applies to our food assortment and to the products selected to represent Sicily. Services and packaging accessories, such as greeting cards, packaging or optional environmental initiatives, are service elements and are not presented as products in the Sicilus Selection.

What is not enough to enter Sicilus

A Mediterranean graphic style, a generic reference to Southern Italy or an aesthetic merely inspired by Sicily are not enough. The connection to the territory must be real, recognizable and consistent with the project.

Why this choice matters

For us, selecting Sicily means giving space to the island's producers, skills, traditions and territories. For those who choose Sicilus, it means knowing that behind every gift box and every specialty there is a precise criterion, not a random assortment.
