How Sicilus Uses Artificial Intelligence

Sicilus may use artificial intelligence tools to support certain operational, creative and organisational activities: reviewing text, translations, preparing information, illustrative images, internal analysis and help with handling enquiries.

Artificial intelligence is used as a support tool. Essential information about products, ingredients, allergens, prices, availability, delivery times, terms of sale and customer support is checked by the Sicilus team before publication or communication to the customer.

Transparency for Customers and Visitors

When we use content created or modified with artificial intelligence tools that looks realistic and could be mistaken for real content, we may indicate this with a dedicated note, such as: “Image generated or modified using artificial intelligence tools for illustrative purposes”.

If an AI-based virtual assistant is activated on the website, users will be clearly informed that they are interacting with an automated system and can request help from our team with orders, complaints, allergens, shipping or specific enquiries.

What We Do Not Use Artificial Intelligence For

Sicilus does not use artificial intelligence tools to make fully automated decisions that have significant effects on customers, such as assessments of reliability, access to services, handling complex complaints or personalised commercial decisions without human oversight.

We do not use artificially created reviews, testimonials or customer identities. Published reviews come from real customer experiences or review platforms used by Sicilus.

Personal Data and Human Oversight

When we use digital or artificial intelligence tools, we take care not to enter unnecessary personal data, sensitive data or confidential customer information. Any processing of personal data is managed according to our Privacy Policy.

Activities supported by artificial intelligence remain subject to human oversight. In case of doubt, the official information in orders, product details, terms of sale and direct communications from the Sicilus team always takes precedence.
