At Sicilus, we believe every action counts. That is why we are proud to take part in the Planet programme, for ecommerce businesses that choose to neutralise their carbon footprint.

Every one of our products, from the most luxurious gift box to a chocolate bar, takes part in the programme to remove the carbon footprint from its shipping!

We know that ecommerce shipping leaves a carbon footprint. That is why we participate in Shopify Planet which supports innovative companies working to remove carbon from the atmosphere.

• Provided carbon-neutral shipping for millions of orders

Here is how it works:

for every order we receive, a formula is used to calculate the estimated shipping emissions. Based on these estimates, part of our revenue goes to carbon removal companies vetted by scientists at Carbon Direct. These companies use the funds to remove the carbon produced by our shipping. Any extra funds go towards developing further carbon removal technologies.

uses direct air capture technology to enhance carbon mineralisation, accelerating the rate at which naturally occurring minerals capture CO2 without using energy-intensive fans.

Remora

 

captures CO2 directly from the exhaust pipes of moving trucks, directing the CO2 to long-term storage.
