Method of Production
La Peach of Leonforte PGI is a unique product, grown in the area of the province of Enna, which is distinguished by its late ripening and variety-specific characteristics.
It is grown by conventional, integrated or organic methods, using forms of farming that ensure proper exposure to sunlight and facilitate cultivation operations.
Peaches are harvested by hand between September and November and must be protected through the use of a parchment paper bag.
The Leonforte IGP peach has a globular shape and flesh adhering to the stone.
