• Grapes: A refined blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Nero d'Avola, and Tannat, which gives the wine a unique complexity.

• Serving temperature: It is ideal to serve at 18°C to enhance all its nuances.

Terroir and Viticulture

• Production area: This wine comes from the Tenuta Donnafugata in Contessa Entellina, in the southwest of Sicily, an area, in fact, renowned for its favorable climatic conditions.
• Altitude: The vineyards are located, therefore, between 200 and 400 meters above sea level, contributing to optimal sun exposure.
• Soils: The clayey-loamy soils, rich in nutrients and with sub-alkaline pH, therefore favor the growth of the vines.
• Climate: Characterized by mild winters and dry, breezy summers, with significant temperature fluctuations that, in fact, favor the accumulation of aromas in the grapes.
• Training: Guyot training with spurred cordon pruning, to ensure high-quality production.
• Planting density: Between 4,500 and 6,000 plants per hectare, optimizing, therefore, the yield.
• Yield: About 40-50 quintals per hectare, ensuring concentrated and aromatic grapes.

Winemaking and Aging

• Harvest: Manual, with a rigorous selection of grapes to ensure, therefore, only the best.
• Fermentation: In steel, with skin maceration for about 14 days at controlled temperatures of 28°-30°C.
• Aging: 14 months in oak, followed by at least 22 months in bottle, to develop, therefore, complexity and finesse.

Organoleptic Profile

• Visual: Intense, bright, and inviting ruby red color.
• Olfactory: Wide and complex bouquet with notes of:
  • Mature red fruit (cherry, plum)
  • Floral hints of red rose
  • Spicy nuances (nutmeg, white pepper)

Once your request has been approved by our customer service department, you can ship the product to the address provided in the authorization email. After a quality check at our warehouse, and if the product meets the Terms and Conditions, you will receive a refund through the payment method used for purchase within approximately 30 days.
