Peluso 1 kg panettone cakes are packaged in elegant colored or elegan box but also in tin and sold with special envelope (excluding color line).
This product line is characterized by a special natural leavening, which involves a very long fermentation process of as much as 36 hours. It originates in the "mother," a core of fermented dough to which water and flour are progressively added. This ancient process is still used at the same pace, with the same skill and care, handed down from generation to generation, but above all with the absence of preservatives, while guaranteeing the product an astonishingly long shelf-life and high organoleptic characteristics. All of this is blended with special artisanal processes.
Peluso's story began in 1964 with a small artisan workshop in Modica, a pearl of the Sicilian territory. Unwavering faith in ancient confectionery traditions, inextricably intertwined with love for the flavors of our beloved Sicily and respect for the times of nature, continue to be, today as then, the components of a "magic recipe," which gives quality and goodness to all our products, which smell like baked goods, just like they used to.
From these assumptions comes the work, supported by the experience of three generations of master pastry chefs, who, inspired and moved by a great passion, have passed on their knowledge with pride and continue to be an unceasing source of inspiration for confectionery creations.
Central is their attention to their customers, who love to surprise and excite them with unique and inimitable-tasting desserts, wisely choosing the best ingredients and searching every day for the perfect balance between naturalness and goodness.
As the "prince" ingredients of the Peluso company's recipes, they select only excellent raw materials: very fine almonds, Sicilian pistachios, Mothia salt, Frankfurt oranges, flours obtained through ancient Sicilian methods and fine cocoa paste from Ecuador.
